The golf
Originally built in 1986, Feather Bay closed for more than 12 years due to financial problems. The course reopened in December 2001, and has undergone renovations to improve the layout. The facility has plans to open a hotel and marina as part of the resort as early as June 2003. In fact, construction of the new nine has been complete for some time, but only the original nine is open for play. |

| Getting there From Abilene take Hwy. 36 to Cross Plains. Take Hwy 279 south to Lake Brownwood, cross the bridge, and turn left on FM 3021. It dead-ends into FM 2632. Turn right on FM 2632. The golf course is .25 mile from that intersection on the left. |
