The golf
Waco’s long-time favorite was designed by Ralph Plummer in the 1950s and after Connally Air Force Base closed it became public. Plummer’s design is fairly long and features many long par 4s, plus water on 11 holes, but has the added benefit of generous fairways.
Holes 2, 5, 8, 11, 12 and14 are all par 4s over 400 yards. The featured par 3 is No. 13, which plays 213 yards into an elevated green. The best par 5 is the 575-yard monster 16th, which plays uphill and against the wind all the way. |

| Getting there From I- 35 , turn east on Hwy. 84, then drive about 4 miles and make a right on Aviation Pkwy. The course is at the end of this road. |
