The golf
The UT Golf Club is under construction and slated for a November 2003 opening. Located at Steiner Ranch off of Ranch Road 620 in Northwest Austin, the project has been driven by prominent Dallas business executive and UT alum Mike Myers, who signed a 50-year licensing agreement with the university to use the school’s name. The 7,008-yard, par 71 layout was designed by the Bechtol Russel Golf group, and will serve as the new home for UT’s golf program. With the big-names and money behind this project, this one should be spectacular. Three holes overlook Lake Austin, and former UT hacks have chipped in to collaborate on the design. |
